Jackie Jarek, founder of BuxMontDoulas, desires to provide support to families as they navigate the journey of pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood. She became a doula because she believes it is so important for women to be educated, informed and supported during their pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum experiences. Jackie seeks to educate her clients about physiological birth, the benefits and risks of interventions and empower them to make decisions based on informed consent. She believes every family deserves to have the education and support that is needed to have a respected, sacred & peaceful birth.

From the moment she found out that she was pregnant with her first child, she knew she wanted to research and know… ALL OF THE THINGS! She read about doulas but didn’t hire one for her first birth… Wow, did they really regret that! Jackie had a super fast, traumatic birth. After that experience, she couldn’t shake the feeling that, “no woman should ever have to go through that. That was awful and scary and I felt alone and out of control.” That was the beginning of Jackie’s journey to becoming a doula.
